CERA SYSTEM
Prodim has been working together with CERA SYSTEM, a leading manufacturer of
ceramic control and on/ off valves as well as ceramic wear systems (pipes,
elbows, reducers ) since 1990.
For more than 20 years, CERA SYSTEM have been manufacturing ceramic control and on / off valves for abrasive and corrosive fluids. All wear
& tear parts are made out of ceramics and will yield considerably longer
service live than conventional metal- or Teflon-coated valves. This leads to a
long-term reduction of operation cost for plant operators and in less
down-times.
Mechanical stress lies on the steel body of the valve, while all
medium-touching parts inside the valve are made out of engineering ceramics
(Al2O3, ZrO2, SiC, Si3N4 others also available ). Ceramic valves with a PVDF or
PP body are also part of our production program.
Some typical industries and applications are :
- Power Plants (FGD units, fly-ash, lime & lime slurry, gypsum,
filtrate water with solids... ) - Waste Incinerators (FGD, lime slurry, HCl scrubber
water... ) - Steel Production (PCI coal powder injection, EAF desulphurization
of melt, lime, silica, MgO2... ) - Petro Chemical (catalyst cracker, FCC), Medium: Al2O3
powder, catalyst slurry at up to 800°C. - Pulp & Paper (Kaolin, Bentointe, Talkum, Quartz,
MgO2, CaCO2, other fillers, bleachers, pulp rejects, NaOH, green liquor... ) - Chemical Process Plants (acids, metal slurry, bases,
polymers, TiO2 slurry, TiCl4, FeCl2, caustic, mixes.... ) - Pneumatic Conveying (sand, lime, glass, cement, ore,
gypsum, powders... ) - Fertiliser: Ammonium Nitrate, Phosphoric acids &
solids
